Backup account files manually

Although we offer backups for site files, databases and mail stored on our mail servers, you may want to backup your data for your own records.  Please do the following:

Site files:
  1. Login to the control panel
  2. Go to FTP / user account -> FTP user
  3. Login to the file manager via the "Click to login" button that appears as a monitor with a arrow on it
  4. Click the little folder icon next to the folder labeled after your domain
    • Note: the file manager may time out on large folders
  5. Click the "tgz" button the right side of the page
  6. Download the newly created archive that is labeled after the folder name with "tar.gz/tgz" after the name by clicking the icon next to its name

Databases:

  1. Login to the control panel
  2. Go to Account -> Quick access -> phpMyAdmin and login to the user for the database (if multiple)
  3. Once in phpmyadmin, click on the database name
  4. Go to the export tab
  5. Select "Quick" and SQL as the format and submit
Mail:
If you are using pop3, then you are set as your mail client will have the mail downloaded to it.  If you are using IMAP, then you can select all the mail and drag and drop it to your local folders.

If you have questions or problems with any of the above, please let us know via a ticket.
